Switzerland isn’t a country you usually associated with potential MXoN glory but things are different these days!

With runner-up in MX2 Jeremy Seewer, MXGP moto winner Arnaud Tonus and Valentin Guillod back on an MX2 bike on the track he beat Jeffrey Herlings to a GP win two years ago, you have the ingredients for not just a podium threat but a winning threat!

Seewer, who won an ADAC race last weekend on the 450, said that he loves the bike: “I just enjoyed riding it so much, I loved it immediately. I was basically waiting the rest of the season until I could ride on it again! After the last GP, I got back on the 450 and I was happy like a kid and immediately I had a lot of fun. The whole package is there on the 450, I can focus on my riding.”

Arnaud Tonus broke a rib in a second moto crash just after he won his first GP moto but was immediately back with good speed for the final two GPs of the year and the track will suit his style.

Valentin Guillod loves Matterley telling me a couple of years ago the track is like one of his practice tracks in Switzerland, if Guillod can get the 250 Honda set-up to his liking with the power he needs and his confidence back to run the pace he ran when he beat Herlings. Switzerland have a serious shot at this trophy!
