Sydow AND Pootjes ruled out for race day at Loket

It promised to be a good round of the MX2 World Championship for the DIGA-Procross Husqvarna team in Loket with all three of the teams riders in action.
Qualifying didn’t go according to plan for the team and as a result both Jeremy Sydow and Davy Pootjes will be forced to sit out during race day.
German talent, Sydow went over a fence and into the spectator area – he got hit by the bike too! Fortunately, Sydow hasn’t got anything broken and is just banged up so it could have been much worse.
“Was riding in a good 12th place until I came together on a jump with another rider and somehow I went over this fence into the visitors. My bike hit me as well. One of the scariest crashes I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I’m out for tomorrow.. Luckily no bones are broken”, Sydow stated.
As for Pootjes, he was making his return to racing in the GP paddock but has revealed that he’s hurt his shoulder once again! When it comes to injuries, the Dutch rider hasn’t got much luck at all.
“Won’t be lining up today. Got together with someone in the qualifying race, again & hurt my ankle, again. What a sport this is. We keep fighting”, Pootjes commented.
With both riders out, it means Filip Olsson who’s making his MX2 debut will be the sole rider for the DIGA-Procross Husqvarna team on race day.
