Strijbos reveals more about 2020 structure: Suzuki Germany not involved

Last month it was confirmed that Kevin Strijbos will start up his own team – KSRTMX for the 2020 season. At first all we really knew is that the Belgian would be racing a Suzuki once again as well as contesting the MXGP World Championship and ADAC MX Masters.

It was thought that Suzuki Germany were getting behind Strijbos but the Belgian has revealed this isn’t the case.

Instead, it’s the German based team of Johannes-Bikes who will help Strijbos and supply him the machinery. The experienced Belgian has admitted it’s been stressful putting everything in place for the season ahead but also nice to have a new challenge for the season ahead.

Last year wasn’t the best of season’s for Strijbos with the JWR Yamaha team but he had the opportunity to do the Motocross Des Nations on a Wilvo Yamaha and rode well. The Belgian seems very motivated for the season ahead to prove some people wrong.

“Yesterday it became more clear that i will do the ADAC MX MASTERS together with @johannes_bikes. I’m looking forward to start racing in Germany. This will be between Johannes Bikes and myself so Suzuki Germany is not involved in this project, like some of the people think. I will ride with the same sponsors as i do in the @mxgp. Its been very stressfull at times and im still busy trying to get everything sorted before the season. On the other hand its been also something new and a nice challenge for myself. So lets keep on working and be in the best possible shape when the first MXGP comes. Really wanna thank all the sponsors and people who are involved already in this project and for believing in me. Without them it wouldn’t be possible. And to all the HATERZZZ …….. 🤫🤫”, Strijbos stated on social media.
