Steven Clarke to make MXGP debut in Germany!

We will see another Brit compete in the MXGP World Championship in Germany this weekend as Steven Clarke has secured a wildcard ride.

Clarke’s concentrating on the EMX250 Championship this year but will race the MXGP World Championship on a Carglass Honda against the best riders in the world. Due to the under 23 age rule, it means Clarke is too old for the MX2 World Championship so he’s decided to have a go at MXGP.

It will be nice to see the Brit in MXGP and he will join the other Brits Tommy Searle, Max Anstie and possibly Shaun Simpson who’s a doubt for the GP after missing Latvia.

Clarke announced the news on social media:

Im excited to announce I will be racing the @mxgp of Germany this weekend in the MX1 class! It’s a good chance to see how I go against some of the best riders in the world on a track that I believe suites me perfectly. No expectations, purely for fun and the drive to compete at a higher level. Bring on the clay #WeLivin
