Stefan Ekerold has left the Castrol Suzuki team and will be back on a KTM for the season ahead.
The young German has inked a deal with the Sarholz KTM team. It was Ekerold’s first season on the 450cc and he showed some good speed throughout the course of the season.
Ekerold will compete in the ADAC MX Masters series and the European rounds of the MXGP World Championship on-board his Sarholz KTM!
Stefan Ekerold: “Just thank you to the whole team for picking me. It’s a great reward for a lot of hard work I put in this season. Unfortunately, I had to leave my old team that’s a little sad because I really got on well with all of the people there.
It was a decision I made because I really want to be in MXGP and that kind of was still up in the air with my old team. Never the less they treated me really well there all year long so got nothing but great stuff to say about the guys. I am looking forward to working with all the people on my new team and learning some new stuff. The team has along history of winning in Germany and on international level so that’s also something that I want to add to and i am confident they will give me what Ineed to perform at my best.”
