Spinks stays with M Smith KTM for 2018!

Josh Spinks started the 2017 season out with the Manchester MC team but after splitting with them, he joined the M Smith KTM team for the reminder of the season.

Spinks has confirmed he will stay with the team for the 2018 season and concentrate in the MX2 class again. He will focus on the Maxxis MX2 British Championship but also contest the MX National series and do selected EMX250 rounds.

Josh Spinks: “Very happy with how 2018 is looking, I am staying on the MX2 Bike with M smith KTM. It’s nice to have some consistency and not having to adapt to different machinery and teams like I’ve had to do a lot in previous years for one reason or another. We had a successful trip to France for the last EMX250, it gave me a good idea of the competition and we hope to do more rounds in 2018. I’d like to be pushing for podiums after crashing out of one in France.

For the Maxxis I want to be in the top 5 regularly rather than just here and there, I think with the team of people I have around me working hard in there areas it can definitely be achieved.

We have had a lot of sponsors come on board which is making things easier for us as a small team. Redline motorcycles sponsored me throughout my youth career so it’s awesome they are having input, we are continuing our partnership with Apico, SPS will be looking after the bikes again. I’d also like to thank the list of private supporters I have that make it possible for me to go racing, I’m in a slightly different position to some riders financially so these people really make the difference so thank you!”
