Spanish Championship RD2: Qualifying results!

The second round of the Spanish championship is taking place this weekend and Iker Larranaga is on pole in the MX2 class. He went quickest in both the free practice and timed practice sessions to assert his authority in the class. Simeo Ubach was a second slower than him in both sessions but he looks like he could be the only rider to come close to challenging Larranaga in the races tomorrow.

James Mackrel put in some good times during both practice sessions. He ended up seventh in free practice and thirteenth in timed practice which is the one that counts for the gate pick tomorrow. Hopefully he can get into the top ten in both of the moto’s tomorrow.

It was somewhat of a surprise to who took pole in the MX1 class as British Arenacross rider, Hugo Basaula put a fast lap in during timed practice to snatch pole from Harri Kullas. Jose Butron was third with Ander Valentin back in fourth. Those four riders could provide some entertainment in the races tomorrow.
