Simone Furlotti announces his retirement from the sport!

Italian talent, Simone Furlotti is the latest rider to announce his retirement from the sport. In the past, Furlotti who’s still only 25 years old has had good results in the EMX250 series and the MX2 World Championship in the past.

A wrist injury a couple of season’s ago really set him back and he’s now announced he’ll walk away from the sport. 

“I’ve been on a motorbike since I was 3 years old, chasing my dreams. I have come to win Italian and European races, to fight for the title and to take satisfaction even in the world championship… It has given me the chance to travel the world, to have wonderful experiences and become the person I am”.

“I will always be grateful to my family and to all the people who have allowed me all this. But now the time has come to focus on something else, because I am no longer willing to make all these sacrifices and train every day without taking anything home at the end of the month. Even though I have been unlucky with injuries in recent years, I am calm because I know I have always given everything I had. Thanks to all of you”, Furlotti stated on social media.
