Shoulder surgery for Reed!

Chad Reed is getting shoulder surgery today amid rumours that he will no longer be running his own team next season.
Reed tweeted: “Getting surgery on my shoulder (for those asking) It’s the one I hurt in Santa Clara and why I missed NJ.. Quick turn around I’m told.”
Reed had an up and down supercross season but has been off form during the outdoor nationals and is probably glad of a break from the motocross season where an apparent lack of motivation and disagreements with the organisers have lead to public arguments.
Reed was unhappy at not being allowed to run his fly360 helmet camera at the outdoor rounds , (the US Nationals have an exclusive agreement with GoPro) and got embroiled in a public war of words with head of MX Sports, Davey Coombs about the absurdity of not being allowed to run a camera from an outsode sponsor. Reed also bemoaned the lack of opportunities for privateer teams in motocross.
Chad has simply not been fully focused on the outdoor season with all these distraction and the bigger question what to do for 2016 has been taking precedence. What will happen next remains to be seen, but let’s hope Reed is back on the gate in 2016!
