Shipton beats Mewse to Patchquick trophy!
The 2017 Patchquick Trophy took place at Little Silver yesterday (7th June) and there was a surprise in store! First and foremost it was good for the fans to see MX2 World Championship rider, Conrad Mewse compete in British soil.
Mewse didn’t have it all his own way though after winning the first moto of the day. Jake Shipton won the second and third moto’s to secure the Patchquick Trophy, that will surely help his confidence moving forward.
Mewse said after the race on Instagram: “Don’t really know what I was doing today. Didn’t feel right from lap one but we still learn things today and it’s better to happen now than in Russia.”
Dan Thornhill rode well to claim third overall and edged out Josh Gilbert on his 250cc Honda.
