Setback for Larranaga!

Whilst competing at an Italian Championship earlier in the year, the Spaniard unfortunately fractured his fibula.

However, the injury has got even worse as he has picked up an infection whilst undergoing surgery. Iker is currently in hospital recovering from this latest setback but expects to get released in around a weeks time.

Whilst this shouldn’t rule the Spaniard out for the rest of the season his return to action will now take longer than first expected.

Iker posted the following update on social media:

“The recovery of my injury has gotten worse, I have an infection in the surgery a week and I’ve been admitted to the hospital dexeus in Barcelona. Soon I will tell you more, thanks to my family and to the family santin for helping me in these hard times. From a young age I learned to get over the adversities and in this case, I’ll do it the same way.”
