Sergi Notario makes a comeback to racing

One rider that looked to have a bright future in the sport only a few years ago was young Spanish talent, Sergi Notario but in 2018 he unexpectedly decided to step away from the sport. In 2017, Notario ended up sixth in the very competitive EMX125 Championship and was expected to make the jump up to the EMX250 series the year after but it never happened.
After two years without motocross, Notario has announced he’s making comeback and has signed with the Jezyk KTM team – the team he was last with in the paddock. When we get back to the races after the COVID-19 pandemic blows over he’ll focus on the Spanish Championship. For 2021, it remains to be seen what his plans will be but it would be nice to see him back in the GP paddock.
“I just found that motocross is what I really like and what I really want in life after being 2 years away from it. I just one day woke up and knew I was wasting my time so I had to take the decision, it wasn’t easy but still, it was what I really wanted so I worked for it. It came up very good for everyone as I saw and I’m lucky that Jezyk is betting for me. At the moment this year I will be racing the Spanish nationals, at the moment I don’t know about next year but I’m very motivated to start training and keep the work going”, Notario told GateDrop.com.
