Savatgy on his injury: Hard to accept

An unlucky Joey Savatgty says he doesn’t know when he will be back on the bike after injuring his heal when he hit a false neutral in Australia.

The new JGR Suzuki rider had been very motivated to show what he could do in 2020 after losing his factory Kawasaki ride  but now faces rehab instead of racing.

Savatgy said on social media: ”It’s easy to ask why. But hard to accept and move on. Had a freak deal hitting neutral as I took off the face and the rest is history. Can’t thank the whole medic crew @jhleale @mrstwotwo enough for taking care of me and getting situated. Really bummed I wasn’t able to race, the boys from @sxopensupercross crushed it. As for #team17 we will be back, when I have an idea so will you.”
