The tenth round of the MXGP and MX2 World Championship heads to Russia next weekend. Alongside that the fifth round of the EMX250 series and the second round of the EMX300 series will also take place.

The Brits have had difficulties getting a visa for the event. They have the option of getting a tourist visa but it means if they pick up an injury that they won’t be covered. A massive risk to take and especially in motocross as you never know what is around the corner.

Unfortunately, all the Brits that contest the EMX250 series, Todd Kellett, Mel Pocock, Micky Eccles and Brad Todd have decided the risk is too much and won’t make the trip to Russia. Instead they will race the MX Nationals series in the UK instead.

In the EMX300 class, Brad Anderson has decided to take the risk and will line up. After winning the first round of the series he will have the red plate in Russia and will be hoping to keep it for round three of the series.

Conrad Mewse and Ben Watson will be the only two Brits to contest in the MX2 World Championship in their respective teams.

With Shaun Simpson still out injured, Max Anstie will be the only British rider in the MXGP category with Ryan Houghton deciding not to travel.
