Rumour: Whatley and Kullas set for MVRD?

It’s no secret that MVRD need to replace Tanel Leok for the 2017 season as Leok has once again landed himself an MXGP ride.

It’s thought that MVRD will sign a former British Champion in the form of Kristian Whatley for the season ahead. Whatley has been riding with Buildbase Honda for the last few years but it looks like he is set to move on.

It looks like that MVRD will also sign a GP rider in Harri Kullas. Harri Kullas competed in the European rounds of the MXGP World Championship during the 2016 for Sarholz KTM. Kullas is no stranger to the British Championship paddock as he has previously rode for the Heads N Threads Suzuki team in the MX2 class. If he does indeed sign for MVRD then he will race the MX1 class.

If these deals materialize then MVRD will have a very strong team for the 2017 season. More news on any developments as we get it.
