Rumour: Webb heading to KTM in 2019?
There’s no doubting Cooper Webb’s talent but since moving up to race the 450cc things haven’t gone to plan. Webb has spent years with Yamaha but if rumours are to be believed then that could all be about to change.
According to top journalist Steve Matthes, Cooper Webb is set to make the switch to Factory KTM for the 2019 season. The move would make sense for KTM because they’ve been down a rider since Broc Tickle’s suspension.
If the move does happen then Cooper Webb would join Marvin Musquin under the awning in what would be a strong line up. If KTM can unlock Webb’s potential on the 450cc then they will have a top rider.
Matthes also expects Aaron Plessinger to make the move to the 450cc next year.

More rumors: Seems like the Webb to KTM is done (bought house in Clermont), Plessinger to ride 450’s full-time beside Barcia & Rockstar Husky keeping Dean O w third 450 (beside 21 & Wacko)
