Rumour: Factory Kawasaki MX2 future in doubt!

We are hearing rumours coming from the GP paddock that Monster have decided to stop sponsoring the Factory Kawasaki setup in the MX2 World Championship next year. But that’s not all, rumours also suggest that team owner Jean Jacques Luisetti will stop the team which means that there might not be an official Factory Kawasaki team in the paddock next year.

The team formerly known as CLS Kawasaki has had a lot of success in the GP’s having riders such as Dylan Ferrandis, Jordi Tixier, Arnaud Tonus, Alessandro Lupino and Steven Frossard in the awning to name just a few.

It would be bad news for current riders Adam Sterry, Morgan Lesiardo and Stephen Rubini as they would be left without a ride. It’s been suggested that Kawasaki will offer some factory support to the satellite teams in the paddock such as F&H Kawasaki. F&H might also run three riders in 2018 so could be on the look out for a rider to partner David Herbreteau and Ruben Fernandez.

There have been other suggestions that Jean Jacques Luisetti could just change manufactures but we believe this isn’t the case and he will walk away from the team.

It’s still early in the season so things can most definitely change but we will continue to keep you updated.
