It is a sad day for the sport of motocross with the news that one of the founders of the Bud racing GP team has suddenly passed away after illness.
Sebastien Dasse was just 37 years old but had been in a wheelchair after being paralysed in motocross years earlier. Despite his situation he was a vital member to the Bud racing team and was a popular figure in the MXGP paddock.
Bud racing announced the sad news on Facebook:
It is with great emotion and deep sadness that the family announces the sudden disappearance of their son, their brother, their uncle Sebastian on the 37th of January at the age of 37, after his health was suddenly Aggravated. Co-manager of the team bud racing at the highest level alongside his brother stéphane, Sébastien was an iconic figure of the french motocross. He held a place of choice at the heart of the family business and left behind a great void. The family will later communicate the date of his funeral.
