  • At the 2016 Motocross of Nations Antonio Cairoli won the Mx2 & Open class race riding the smaller 250cc machine against the faster 450cc bikes. Only a few riders have ever done this.
  • Antonio Cairoli won his first race he entered on a 450 in 2007. Having rode all year on the 250cc machine he entered the Grand Prix at Donington Park in Great Britain as a wildcard in the Mx1 (450cc) class winning the overall with 2nd and 1st moto results.
