Results: Paturel wins Charity Race in Switzerland

The annual Charity Race was held today in Rogneux (Bullet), Switzerland. Despite the opening round of the Italian championship, many strong riders had gone to support Killian Auberson and Brian Moreau. JM Honda Racing’s Benoit Paturel took the victory in Bullet, ahead of Arnaud Tonus and Maxime Desprey.

Home driver Tonus set pole in the morning ahead of Paturel and veteran Xavier Boog. In the first moto it was Paturel who stole the show beating Tonus by 15 seconds. Valentin Guillod just edged out Evgeny Bobryshev for the race for third. British rider, Josh Gilbert ended up a solid eighth.

In the second moto, reigning French champion Desprey took the holeshot and beat the GP riders – an impressive ride. Tonus put him under pressure but in the end crashed and slipped back to third after Paturel came back to second after a bad start. Josh Gilbert went one better to finish seventh in the second race behind Valentin Guillod.
