Results: International Italian Championship MX2 – Geerts on top

The first MX2 race of the year was held at a mega rough Riola Sardo track and Jago Geerts won on his Factory Kemea Yamaha but just about. Ben Watson put him under pressure the whole race and really made a move for the front with a few laps to go. Belgian, Geerts was able to overcome the pressure and took the race win – there was only 0.8 in it at the line! Renaux was running the pace the first half of the race before a small crash cost him but he still come home in third.
