Results: Covington wins MX2 qualifier at Ottobiano

Thomas Covington took the holehost and led the whole qualifying moto in the Ottobiano sand to take another MX2 qualifying race win.

The American looked good despite the heat and said he even tried to save some energy for tomorrow. Jorge Prado was second but it was a tough race for Jonass who went from outside the top five to move into second passing Prado to do it but then stalled and dropped back to fifth positions.

Calvin Vlaanderen and Ben Watson battled it out for third as they seem to do every week recently with Vallanderin getting the edge on the Brit.
