Reed wears throwback Fox gear to honour Jeremy McGrath at A2
Chad Reed wore some special Fox gear at A2 to honour supercross king Jeremy McGrath.
McGrath wore the yellow and black Fox kit back in 1997 in his one year with Suzuki and 22 years later it still looked the part with Reed even running up front in it and battling Ken Roczen to eventually finish fifth in the third main event, all at an amazing 36 years old!
Reed finished 13th overall on the night after he couldn’t start the second main event due to a mechanical issue.
Before the racing got underway a happy Reed commented on the gear, complete with matching helmet, saying: “My love for supercross started with Jeremy McGrath at Anaheim stadium. Always the baddest style and the reddest gear, @petefox you nailed with this gear. Tonight I am proud and honoured to be repping my hero’s look.”
Jeremy McGrath himself responded to Chad by saying: “ I am absolutely honoured, You are a huge inspiration to all of us. Thank you for this tribute. You can bet you will be the best dressed tonight! Good luck tonight.”
