Jake Nicholls has had a very strong start to the season on his Buildbase Honda and he had another good weekend at Hawkstone this weekend.

Nicholls went 1-1 on the day to win the MX1 overall. Elliot Banks-Browne is nursing a wrist injury but still did enough to end up second overall with Gert Krestinov edging out Liam Knight for the last step on the podium.

In the MX2 class it was Brad Anderson who was victorious. He just edged out Barr to win the first moto but the second moto. Barr was leading the MX2 battle in the second moto and it looked like he’d win the overall but unfortunately he couldn’t finish the race due to taking a crash. It meant Anderson walked away with the overall.

Mel Pocock who’s had a strong start to his season ended up second overall edging out Todd Kellet, it’s nice to see him back on the podium after picking up an injury during the off-season.

In the Expert MX2 class it was Josh Coleman who won on the day as he just did enough to edge out Jason Meara who had to be content with second overall on the day.

Josh Waterman won the expert MX1 class from James Dodd with Richard Bird securing third overall.
