The first race of the Motocross season is taking place in Italy this weekend!
During qualifying it was Rick Elzinga that just edged out Emilio Scuteri to take pole by 0.089 of a second!
In the MX2 class, World Champion, Pauls Jonass put in the fastest lap in the first group.
Maxime Renaux who has had two tough years due to injury set the quickest time in group two and went faster than a number of Grand Prix riders.
In the MX1 class, Jeremy Van Horebeek was sitting pretty at the top until the last lap when his team mate Romain Febvre thought he pipped to pole. However, Cairoli then snatched pole on his very last lap but only 0.23 seconds cover the front four riders. Jeffrey Herlings was down in twelth.
