Russian rider, Brylyakov didn’t contest a pre-season race before Qatar but he has clearly been working hard over winter. He put in a flyer of a lap to top the timed practice and will have the first gate pick for the qualification race later on today. Paturel who didn’t have the best speed in free practice responded well by going second quickest ahead of Jeremy Seewer. Jonass was on a quick lap on his last attempt but messed up during the third sector so he is down in eleventh!

Again, the times are incredibly close as only 3.1 seconds separate Brylyakov and Monticelli down in twentieth.

Just like in free practice, Antonio Cairoli set the quickest lap time as he just pipped Kevin Strijbos and Glenn Coldenhoff for pole. Incredibly only a second and a half covers the top sixteen riders! Heading into the races we can safely say that starts are going to be incredibly important!
