There’s no doubting young Dutch rider, Davy Pootjes has all the talent in the world but since moving up to the MX2 World Championship we’ve only saw glimpses of it mainly due to injuries.

However, so far this season he’s been able to stay fit and that will be his main goal this year as he’s missed too much racing due to injuries. In Latvia, Pootjes had a good day as he ended up ninth overall but the second moto was much better for him.

In the second moto Pootjes crossed the line in sixth which is more like it for the LRT KTM rider. He’ll be hoping for plenty more results like that during the rest of the season.

Pootjes even commented that we saw a bit of the old Davy back again so it shows he knows he needs to continue to improve to get back to that level.
