Pootjes ruled out for moto two in Latvia
During the qualifying race in Latvia, Davy Pootjes went down at the first turn which left him with a bad gate pick for the races.
However, after trying to ride the first moto, Pootjes has confirmed that he’s hurt his ankle and has decided to give the second moto as a miss.
It’s a real shame for the young Dutch talent as injuries meant we haven’t saw the best of him in the past and he was starting to show us what he can really do in the MX2 World Championship.
The DIGA-Procross Husqvarna rider will now rest up and get back on the bike when he’s ready to do so.
“Due to the start crash in qualy yesterday I somehow hurt my ankle quite badly, won’t be lining up in moto 2. Really, really disappointed as I was having a solid season until 2 weeks back but I’ve been at the wrong place at the wrong time lately. We’ll let it heal and bounce back strong. Thanks everyone for the support”, Pootjes commented on social media.
