Podcasts: Rick Elzinga on his AMA experience and EMX form plus MXoN review!
Our latest guest podcast featured Rick Elzinga who talked to us about his experience in the USA but also the injuries that have affected the progress in his career and his goals for the rest of the EMX series that resumes this weekend – plus what his plans are for 2022!
On his American performances Rick said: “It was fun to be there and race those tracks. I hoped to do a little better but with the time I had it was still pretty great what we did with a stock bike. I wasn’t really thinking my and their bike would be so much different. I would say if I ride in the EMX races like I did in the AMA, I ride terrible! Here, I’m adjusted to the tracks and the bikes and it just feels normal. There everything is new, the one day I was riding a bit stiff the other day I was braking too early. The picture wasn’t complete to go all out, I had to fight big time with myself and really think about what I was doing to no lose a lot of seconds a lap, it was pretty difficult to adjust in a short time as well.”
