Pessoa heads back to Brazil
Young Brazilian talent, Gustavo Pessoa has spent the last season and a half in the GP paddock under the DRT Kawasaki awning.
When Pessoa first made the switch to the MX2 World Championship, he posted some good results on the Dixon Kawasaki and was even battling for some top ten results. It earned him a full-time ride with the team this year but the results weren’t as expected.
Unfortunately, the Brazilian won’t be staying in the GP paddock for the 2020 season and it’s been announced he’ll make a return to Brazil – on KTM machinery. Pessoa will make the step up to the 450cc and race the MX1 class in Brazil. It will also be the first year KTM has an official team in Brazil.
“I am very happy to announce that for the 2020 season will be together with @ktmbrasiloficial with its first year of official team in Brazil. I am very happy with this opportunity and I want to thank Fábio and @ktmbrasiloficial for believing in my professionalism and serious work. I can’t wait to start the 2020 season with my new KTM 450 sx-F bike”, Pessoa stated.
