No points awarded for MX2 Race two?

The second MX2 race that took place in Indonesia today was red flagged with seven minutes before the end. After the race they give Julien Lieber the red plate on the podium. However, it appears that they have now decided not to award the MX2 riders with their points from the second race. This seems to be a bizarre decision and would also be a massive blow for Samuele Bernardini who thought he had won his first MX2 moto of his career.
Julien Lieber posted the news on his Facebook page:
“Hey everyone!
The GP went really well, did 3rd and 4th in the races, giving me a third overall and the red plate.
Unfortunately, the Youthstream decided to cancel the second race meaning that I’m behind Paturel in the championship both having 60 points.
Things aren’t always fair to everyone but we will get there in the right manner.”
This means that Benoit Paturel couldĀ take the red plate to the third round on his Yamaha.
**UPDATE: It’s now been confirmed that points will be given for the second MX2 moto! Read more here.
