No Lelystad International race – Arnhem likely instead

The track of Lelystad in the Netherlands had planned an International race for Sunday the 26th of July but it appears that now won’t happen as the KNMV have decided to hold a race at a different track.
“No international competition for MCFlevoland. To our great regret, the union has chosen a sand track for a different circuit. We are very disappointed with this decision”, Lelystad stated on social media.
It’s thought that the International race will take place at Arnhem instead – a track that’s linked to holding Dutch GP’s in the future. With a number of sand races on the GP calendar this year, the KNMV looked to have opted for a sand track as oppose to the hard pack Lelystad track.
Axel is also expected to hold an International race on Sunday the 2nd of August and plenty of Grand Prix riders are expected to race at both events.
