Nichols OUT for Tampa Supercross
The opening round of the West Coast Supercross series takes place at Tampa this weekend and Colt Nichols was expected to be one of the front runners. However, the Star Racing Yamaha rider got hurt back in October and has revealed he hasn’t recovered in time to race Tampa this weekend.
It remains to be seen how long he’ll remain out of action for but he joins Hunter Lawrence and Pierce Brown on the sidelines for the first round of the West Coast Supercross series.
“As most of you know I got hurt back in October and have done a horrible job at keeping my followers updated. Oops, but with that being said I will not be racing this weekend In Tampa. Haven’t quite got cleared to twist the grip off the YZ but I have my fingers crossed it shall be very soon. Myself and the team want to make sure the shoulder is 100% before I start riding and make my return to racing. I’ll try to be more active on here and keep everybody updated as I am”, Nichols stated.
