New challenge and colours for SM-Action Racing in 2021

New challenge and colours for SM-Action Racing in 2021

The SM-Action Yamaha team had an amazing season with Maxime Renaux finishing third in the MX2 World Championship. The French talent has earned a full Yamaha factory ride for the 2021 season which is very much deserved.

The SM-Action Yamaha team have confirmed themselves they will have a new challenge for the 2021 season as they’ll be changing colours. It’s not yet official but we believe they’ll make the switch to GasGas and are rumoured to have signed up Alberto Forato for the MX2 World Championship. Andrea Adamo is likely to be his team mate for 2021.

The team posted the following statement on social media:

Today we can say we have achieved a dream… A dream that started in 2016 when we decided to contest the MX2 World Championship!!
That year with second place in the European Championship 250 we found the strength and courage to go on a path that this year led us to achieve:

– a podium at the first European round with the young talent, Andrea Adamo who then stopped due to injury
– a European podium with Hakon Fredriksen
– to manage an official MXGP season with Henry Jacobi who unfortunately got injured didn’t get what he deserved
– different podiums, a GP win and third place in the MX2 World Championship with the strongest Maxime Renaux
– All of this was possible thanks to the technical support of @yamaharacingcomofficial who has always supported us on this path.
A special thank you to all the team members who have always given their best every day both in dark times and in joyful moments. Another special thank you goes out to all our sponsors. Now it’s time for us to move on to face new challenges with new colours… see you soon with great news!!
