Nations to return Matterly Basin in 2017?

Steve Dixon has suggested the MXON will be at Matterly Basin in 2017!

Dixon said on Facebook: “Imagine all this with the experience we have gained since 2006 would be epic…2017? Bring it on, we can do it…”

2006 of course was the epic race where Stefan Everts beat James Stewart and passed the American round the outside of a rutted turn with his feet on the pegs! You can watch all the action in the video above.

Belgium would have won the event until Kevin Strijbos got his 250f Suzuki stuck in the green trackside fencing after a crash. America won the event but everyone remembers it as the day Stefan Everts gave 21 year-old James Stewart a riding lesson in his last ever race at 33 years old.
