Nations – Team Switzerland
Switzerland are the latest country to announce their Motocross Des Nations team and they have a strong team that could surprise in Italy.
The team consists of:
MXGP – Valentin Guillod
MX2 – Jeremy Seewer
OPEN – Arnaud Tonus
The hard pack Maggiora track should really suit Guillod and Seewer as they prefer the hard pack conditions. Jeremy Seewer is having the best season of his career working with Stefan Everts and looks like finishing second in the MX2 World Championship this year, he will be a main contender for the title in 2017.
Interesting that Arnaud Tonus will race in the open class, I would expect him to ride a 450 and in my opinion he will suit that bike better than the 250. If he is looking for a ride in 2017 he will be motivated to put on a good show as MXGP could be an option. Also, Guillod’s plans for 2017 are currently up in the air so he will be motivated for the rest of the season.
There should be plenty of Swiss fans at the Nations and if they get behind their riders they could be in for a good result.
