Natalie Kane announces she will stop racing at a professional level

Natalie Kane has had a great Motocross career, there’s no doubt about that. The Irish talent chased a WMX World title but just missed out during her career. Back in 2009 she had a fantastic season on the MVRD Suzuki finishing third.

In 2012, Kane did even better finishing second in the championship on the HM Plant KTM UK. It hasn’t been an easy few years for Kane picking up some injuries along the way but she’s announced she’s made the decision to stop racing at a professional level.

“I have not said a lot about my 2019 season since my injury but the whole 2019 was a real struggle for me in many different ways and I was really struggling to enjoy it so to finish with an injury really wasn’t easy to accept for me. Now an injury that will forever cause me problems but that being said it really put the “icing on the cake” you can say for me to step down from such a professional level”, Kane stated on social media.

“I have not posted this either with all that has been happening in the world. But now I am back riding a little I thought I should say a huge thank you to @svemo_se @mxsmofficial for the gift at the final round last year and appreciating my 6 years competing in the Swedish championship. Soon I will update more on my hand and plans now but right now I just want to say a big thank you for the Honour prize as it really was a nice feeling to receive this after everything”, Kane concluded.

We’d like to congratulate Kane on a fantastic career and wish her all the best for the future.
