Nancy van de Ven signs with Ceres71 Yamaha

It was a good season for Nancy van de Ven as she came ever so close to clinching her first WMX World title but it just wasn’t meant to be.

For the 2021 season, Van de Ven will stay with Yamaha but will switch teams to the Ceres71 Yamaha team. Her main focus will be on the WMX World Championship and the Italian Women’s Championship – if the calendar allows then she will also take part in the Dutch Championship.

Former GP rider, Chicco Chiodi has taken over the role of team manager of the team.

Chicco Chiodi (team manager): We are very happy to have reached an agreement with Nancy for the 2021 season. It will be a good opportunity for the Ceres71 Yamaha team to show off and we will do everything possible to do a good job. With Diego Saiani as chief mechanic and myself in the role of Team Manager and riders coach, I believe we have all the credentials to do well. At the moment we are awaiting the confirmation of two other riders who will line up for the 2021 season and immediately after the Christmas holidays, we will start preparing for the new season.
