MXGP: New alcohol procedure!

FIM PR: New alcohol Procedure in FIM World Championships & Prizes
The use and consumption of alcohol (ethanol) had been officially prohibited in competition under the WADA rules, incorporated into the FIM Anti-Doping Code, since 2004.
However, as from 2015, WADA agreed that the FIM could henceforth consider alcohol as no longer prohibited as a doping agent but as a substance prohibited for safety reasons under with the FIM Medical Code. The FIM Anti-Doping Code and Medical Code were modified accordingly.

Under this new procedure, alcohol tests were carried out by breath testing on 1 April 2017 in Leon, Mexico and on 15 April in Pietramurata, Italy during the FIM MXGP/MX2 World Championship events. The following riders were tested:

All the test results were negative.
The threshold is equivalent to a blood concentration of 0.10 g/L.
