MX Masters kids hopeful of going ahead

Normally, the MX Master Kids, one of Europe’s biggest youth motocross competitions, would return to Belgium this year. Due to the protracted corona crisis, the organization was obliged to postpone from mid-July to 14, 15 and 16 August. Michel Costitch, however, is hopeful that the match will take place in Nismes.
That hope is fueled by the announcement of the Belgian National Security Council last night. It goes without saying that the final decision depends on the developments surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. After all, there is a real chance that some measures will be reversed later. In the event of a final cancellation, registration fees will of course be refunded.
Organizer Michel Costich said the following about this to MXworld editor Leon Van Gestel. “The match will be held on the same date, August 14, 15 and 16, 2020, following the statements made by the Belgian Prime Minister last night. Both the provincial and municipal authorities have asked us not to cancel the organization. According to our sources, travel within the Schengen area would be allowed again in July. It goes without saying that we will fully refund the registration fees in the event of a final cancellation. ”
