After it was revealed that Marvin Musquin will miss the entire 2020 Supercross season, Chad Reed has been linked to a fill in ride at the Factory KTM team.
Reed has confirmed that this will be his last year racing the AMA Supercross series as he’ll hang up his racing boots at the end of the SX season.
Ellie Reed, Chad’s wife has confirmed he will be doing it as a privateer.
We will have to wait and see who the Factory KTM team will draft in for a replacement rider.

“How many past champs can say they did a retirement tour as a privateer?”, Mrs Reed stated.
It looks like Reed will be starting up his own team for his final season racing.
“The guy who will actually say what he thinks, puts his money where his mouth is even when it spends all the money he had earned prior, won a championship 4 weeks after shoulder surgery, battled the toughest competitors in the history of the sport, built a race team and had 3 kids at the same time, most podiums ever, builds a race team 3 weeks before season starts again…. the list goes on. There truly is only one 22”, continued Mrs Reed.
