More practice for EMX riders in 2019

Youthstream have made the decision to increase the practice times for the EMX classes to help the riders get more track time and less time between the on-track action for spectators.

Youthstream released the following:

Free practice and qualifying will now be a separate session similar to the world championship classes

  • Each class / group will have separate free practices (20 minutes) and a time/qualifying practice of 30 minutes.
  • No more “combined” sessions without break, so more time to adjust to the track and to adjust the bike
  • For classes with more than one group, there will be now last chance race anymore
  • In case of one group, the best 40 riders are qualified directly, 2 riders are reserve riders
  • In case of two groups, 20 riders of each group are qualified, the rider on position 21 of each group will be a reserve rider.
  • The first race of the first class will happen after the Free Practice MXGP, the race of the second class after the time practice of MXGP.
