Miro Sihvonen – World Championship debut in Assen

Miro Sihvonen will make his MX2 World Championship debut this weekend in Assen as he has secured a wildcard entry on his Diga Racing KTM. After finishing fifth in the EMX125 championship during the 2015 season the Finnish rider stepped up to the EMX250 class for 2016.

His rookie year in the class has went well as he ended up sixth in the overall championship, not bad for a rookie! The only rookie to finish higher than Sihvonen was Darian Sanayei but he has been riding a 250 machine for a few years!

This weekend it will be good to see Miro make his MX2 World Championship debut. No doubt he will end up in the class one day if not as soon as 2017. This race will help prepare him for his future which will be in the World Championship. If he ends up staying in the EMX250 championship for 2017 then he should be a series championship threat with another winter on the 250 machine.

Miro Sihvonen: “I’m really excited for my first GP race and I will go there with an open mind without stress or any result goals, I will try to do as good as I can!”.
