Michelin Tracker tried and tested

Late last year, the French tyre maker Michelin launched the Tracker Tyre, with a raft of new technologies to improve the all-round performance without losing that famed durability and versatility.

A road legal motocross tyre offering secure and predictable grip across a wide variety of terrains. 
A wide range of sizes available with 18-inch and 19-inch rear options, also the tyre is reversible to extend the life further.

We love having new products and places to ride, for us we were out in the Swedish countryside on their Motocross tracks and in gnarly woods with unforgettable stones.
So with all that in mind, I took a KTM EXC 250f out riding, I did 15 hours plus on these tyres.

The Tracker has been designed for both leisure and trail riders and while it looks like a motocross knobbly, it is road-legal and safe on tarmac but transforms the experience on the bike in the woods and on green lanes. The stability and confidence it gives is impressive, traction is astounding in dry conditions and it is a great tyre for trail riding or a training tyre as it lasts over 10h on the rear and more than 15h on the front.

Overall we’d happily ride with the tyre all year round, we had lots of confidence in the Swedish forest or Motocross sand tracks to a very moist Fraddon Motor Parc in Cornwall.
