The British Arenacross series announced a few weeks ago that they have four wildcard places available for the up and coming season. It has emerged that Jason Meara will be racing the entire British Arenacross 2017 season.

Meara will be racing his Watt KTM at all the rounds across the UK and will compete in the pro lites class. This is good news for Irish fans as they will get to see him in action at the two rounds taking place in Belfast.

In recent years Irish fans have got the chance to get behind Martin Barr, Gordon Crockard, Gary Gibson and Stuart Edmonds at the Arenacross event and this year looks to be Meara’s turn.

At the moment it looks like he will be the sole Irish rider competing in the pro class but Edmonds has expressed an interest in the series so he could line up with him yet!

Jason Meara: “I am super excited to race the British Arenacross series! It’s something I’ve never done before and I have always wanted to do it! I can’t wait to get out there and hopefully battle for a place in the podium!! Big thanks to Norman watt for sticking behind me this year and sorting me out with bikes”
