MCCNI: Postpone all events until further notice

Following the MRA’s announcement, the MCCNI have now also confirmed that they have taken the decision to postpone all planned events until further notice due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The following statement was released:

We have taken the decision to postpone all our planned events until further notice.

Our main concern is the safety of all our club members/riders and their families. With the amount of people our race days see it would be too much of a risk to you all.

At this moment and time the NHS staff and hospitals are under serious pressure. We feel it would be unfair to add to their pressure in the event of an injury. This also puts you and your family at further risk going into the hospital environment.

We do understand how disappointing this is for you all, but given the current situation we know you will all understand how serious a matter this is.

We will be monitoring the situation very closely and as soon as we are safe to race again all details will be up on our fb page.
