Mawhinney makes Revo Husqvarna debut
Ryan Mawhinney made his 125cc and Revo Husqvarna debut during the first round of the MX Nationals which took place in Sherwood at the weekend.
During the first day, Mawhinney was steady and brought home two fifth place finishes.
Day two went much better as the track roughened up and that suited Mawhinney. He won his first moto of the season and finished second in the last moto of the day.
The young Irish rider will leave with a good feeling and hope to build on the good start to the season. He sits second in the championship and only nine points off James Smith but he’ll hope to battle for the championship.
“I finished second overall getting two consistent 5th place finishes on Saturday. Sunday was a much better day grabbing my first win on the 125cc and 2nd in the last race. I’d like to thank Revo Husqvarna UK and Jon Giffard at JGR Performance for their help”, Mawhinney commented.
