Marchetti KTM sign up two MX2 riders for 2019

Marchetti KTM only had one MX2 World Championship rider in 2018 in the form of Morgan Lesiardo. However, things didn’t work out and the Italian left the team before the end of the season.
The Italian team have confirmed the signings of Iker Larranaga and Andrea Zanotti for the 2019 season. Larranaga was showing some great speed in 2018 before an injury put an end to his season. The Spanish rider also switched teams throughout the season with the 8Biano Husqvarna team closing their doors he ended up under the Diga-Procross Husqvarna awning.
The Spaniard will be hoping for plenty of top ten results with his new team during his last season in the MX2 World Championship due to the U23 age rule. He’ll contest all twenty rounds during 2019.
As for Zanotti, it was his first year on the 250cc after moving up from the 125cc and he focused on the Italian Championship but he rode some World Championship races as a wild card. He clearly impressed and will now contest the European rounds of the MX2 World Championship in 2019.
The team confirmed to us they would only be running a team in MX2 which means Jose Butron is on the look out for another ride.
