Livia Lancelot on Mitch Evans impressive debut race in Europe!

It wasn’t a GP, but Aussie Mitch Evans turned a lot of heads with his speed and his results at Riola in his first big international race of 2019 on the 114 Motorsports 250 Honda.
Evans came from behind in the 250 race to take 6th and then in the Superfinal against the 450s he carded a seventh overall and second in the 250 class on a very tough sand track,
114 Motorports team manager, Livia Lancelot, spoke to Lorenzo Resta and gave her verdict on Evans as he raced the Superfinal: “Its been great, (working with Evans). He arrived in December and we start working straight away. For his first race he is doing really well and we are pretty happy about it. We still need to work on everything, suspension we need tp work on because he is quite a big guy, still a kid but a big guy. We are trying to get him the perfect set-up but obviously it’s already not so bad.”
Evans himself was pleased with his first race of the year, commenting on social media. “Good start to the year in Riola, 6th in MX2 after pulling all my tear-offs in the first three laps. Seventh in the Superfinal and 2nd 250 home. Thanks @honda114motorsports.”
With some good momentum early, Evans might just be one to keep an eye on this season in his debut world championship season.
