The weekend the British Two Stroke Championship heads to Desertmartin along with the MX2 and MX1 classes and a lot of local riders have decided to contest the British Two Stroke series.
Lindsay Newell has been competing on a KTM in the Irish and Ulster MX1 Championships so far this year but will swap his four stroke for a two stroke Yamaha this weekend.
It won’t be easy as he’ll be up against the likes of Mike Kras, James Dunn and Ashley Wilde just to name a few but it’s nice to see another local rider take on the challenge.
Lindsay Newell: “My expectation is to go out there and mix it up with the series regulars and have fun at the event – that’s what this sport is all about.
I’m looking forward to riding in front of my home crowd on my Suitor Bro’s Racing Yamaha and hearing them shouting from the side of the track.”
